I've played it! You're talking about the final boss fight against Vergil, right? In the actual game play when you beat him, he doesn't scream. You do here a faint whisper of "Dante" at the end right before the cut-scene though. Then when it shows that little scene where they run at each other and Dante slashes him he doesn't scream there either. When he collapses, he does let out a grunt, but that's about it.

Yeah, that. I totally hadn't expected any sort of sound in that scene, and when Vergil...uh...did that EAAA scream, I nearly headdesked. Must've been a bad joke of someone's then, if it's not in the game. He whispers Dante's name before he collapses? That's kinda...sweet.<---very weak resistance to sibling relationship

Ever since I finished DMC3's cutscenes, I've been craving for some happy AU where Eva never died, or at least something about the good old times. Then I stumbled upon this Japanese video of kid!Vergil extending his hands towards kid!Dante and something inside my just died.;_;

Yeah, I'm guessing it was someone's joke.
I think the whisper may have been kinda anger filled... but let's pretend it's sweet. >.> I also have a weak resistance concerning those two and their relationship. Whether it be rivalry or whatever.
That would be interesting. Plus there's still tons of mystery revolving around her death. The only thing revealed is that she was killed by demons. I wonder where Sparda was at the time.

Sparda's fate is what I find intriguing in the DMC series...I mean, he's the Legendary Dark Knight, he should be strong enough to prevent Eva's death at the hands of just a few demons? Which means he either died, or abandoned Eva....or got stuck in another dimension or something. Because it's kinda sad if he really left Eva to die and his own sons to kill each other when he's perfectly able to do something.

It really is a mystery. I would like to believe that he isn't dead, that he's trapped somewhere maybe, you know? But the fact that Eva died (supposedly Vergil too. That's a theory on how they got separated and it's hinted at in the manga) must mean that he's dead or something. But he was strong enough to stop Mundus from taking the human world and he did so many amazing things. How could he just die? I'm going crazy without knowing, so I practically devoured the games trying to suck up every little detail. I've been obsessed ever since the first game came out.

Would you happen to know where I could find the manga online? It doesn't matter if it's raw or scanlated. Yeah, if he could defeat Mundus - who is supposedly the strongest demon(being Emperor and all), I really don't see what could've killed him. I really, really hope they'll reveal a bit more about his fate in future DMC games.

The Japanese are good at making tear-inducing Vergil and Dante(both from sadness and laughter) videos. It's an inherent talent. orz

Yeah, there had better be some more stuff in the next game. There are just way too many questions now. Especially with DMC4... holy crap are there a ton of questions.
